Position: Grocery Brand Ambassador - Part-time
FLSA Status: This position is not exempt from the minimum wage and overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
As a member of the grocery customer support team, the key function of this role is to act as the main support structure for Counter Culture Coffee’s Grocery Department. Brand Ambassadors operate as a liaison between Counter Culture and our grocery retail customers. For us, being an ambassador is equal parts brand promotion and customer advocacy.
Demo team members are excited about sharing their passion for coffee and inherently, the core values of CCC which reflect the heart of our product. Grocery Brand Ambassadors create an important space to nurture curiosity and reciprocate accessibility. This role is a public facing job, so a strong willingness and enthusiasm for customer service and a knack for engaging customers with a friendly and pleasant demeanor while sharing the message of the Counter Culture brand and coffee philosophy is a must. Brand Ambassadors must possess the desire to learn more about coffee in order to better disseminate this knowledge to consumers.This is a part time position with irregularity in hours. There will be travel within regions and compensation for mileage. Training will be provided on retail demos as per Counter Culture demo standards.
● Set up demo table and brew coffee to be sampled in grocery accounts
● Perform 3 to 4 hour demo per Counter Culture demo standards
● Clean up and check out with retail management before departure
● Desire to share passion for Counter Culture coffee to retail customers
Efficient time management, ability to work part time hours with flexible scheduling and little supervision (minimum of 4 demos completed per month)
Excited and contagious personality for sharing complex ideas in an easy to digest manner
Reliable, accountable, and professional demeanor, with strong interest in customer service
Completion of demo training, orientation, and shadowing in the field.
Ability to stand and perform demos for 3 to 4 hour shifts; some light lifting (40 lbs) of demo kits required
Access to a smartphone or tablet for mobile app use

Access to reliable transportation (If driving personal vehicle, must have unexpired driver's license and vehicle insurance)

Physical Requirements of this Job:
Light work. Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
